The Science Behind a Good Night’s Sleep

We all know that getting a restful night’s sleep is very important for our health and wellbeing. Adults should get between 7 and 9 hours of sleep per night; meaning that we spend around a third of our lives sleeping!

A lack of healthy sleep can have a negative impact on our health, from weight gain and irritability, to lack of concentration in work and more serious health problems, such as an increased risk of diabetes and even stroke.
